In early 1975 Queen made their first headlining tour across the United States of America. Tickets sold like hot cakes. Due to the huge demand they even had to add additional concerts to the tour schedule. Sometimes the group gave 2 concerts a day, and in each of them the tickets were completely sold out. Nevertheless, several concerts were canceled, as Freddie had problems with his throat, but he still rallied: he played as many concerts as he could, despite the doctors’ objections.

In January 1975 Queen hired the lawyer Jim Lashing. He was supposed to release the group from obligations to the record company “Trident”, which had ceased to provide the necessary support to Queen. On April 2, Queen for the first time appear in Canada’s Edmonton. In the same month, the group first visited Japan. At the airport were crowds of many thousands of fans who enthusiastically greeted them. Album Sheer Heart Attack at the time occupied in the “Celestial Empire” all the first place album charts. In May the same year, Freddie gets the prize “Ivor Novello” from the “Union of Poets” for the song “Killer Queen”. In June the band started work on a new album. Soon were finally discontinued all ties with the group “Trident” – to the great relief of all participants, and by September Queen had signed a contract with John Reed. In 1975, Queen decided to release “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Ambient asserted that the composition is too long – 5 minutes 55 seconds – and never will be a hit. Freddie decided to give the song to his friend Kenny Everett, who worked as a DJ in London. Mercury told him that this is a copy for personal use only and not for airtime. And, of course, Kenny let the song in the air. 14 times in 2 days! Since then the “bohemian rhapsody” can be heard on every radio station, with the full version. It was a huge success and marked the Queen as a group of the century.

A video clip for the single, which was directed by Bruce Gowers’ based on the ideas of the musicians themselves, is considered to be the beginning of mass entrainment video clips. “Bohemian Rhapsody” lasted on the top line of the UK charts for 9 weeks!

In 1973, between the “Trident” and “EMI” is conclude contract behalf the Queen, and in July the same year goes out the first album with the same name – “QUEEN”. The group was invited to make a long break in the records in order to make its first tour under the auspices of Mott The Hoople. The tour began in November 1973 in Leeds. According to eyewitnesses, Queen seemed “more than just a group of warm-up.
The second album – “QUEEN II” – published in 1974. Originally it was supposed to appear earlier, but the cover was made with a typographical error, and the group demanded that all was fixed. In March of this year, Queen went to her headlining tour of the country, which began with Blackpool, and a month later – the first American tour as guests of Mott The Hoople. However, in May, when Brian became ill with hepatitis, Queen had to cancel the remaining concerts.
Work on their third album the group also had to be without Brian, at this time a great help came from Roy Thomas Baker. When Brian became healthier, he could appear in the studio to record their guitar parts. However, until the final recovery was far away. As a result, the album managed to complete, and in November the 74th he went into circulation under the name “SHEER HEART ATTACK”. Album expected a huge success. It was at that time the world realized that the Queen – is power.

Despite the fact that a group called Queen appeared in 1970, everything started in 1968. That was when Brian May and Tim Staffell, studentsat the Imperial College in London, decided to establish their own group. To find a drummer, Brian decided to hang an announcement in the college. At him announcement responded Roger Taylor, who was studying there at the medical faculty. They faund the group, known as SMILE.
A year after its founding, Smile and “Mercury Records” signed a contract and at the same time they first enrolled in the recording studio – “Trident Studios”. In 1969 was published the first and the last album titled Getting Smile, and in Japan was released a single Polar Bear. At that time this event has gone unnoticed. It was at this time when Tim Staffell presented the group to Bulsara, with whom he studied at Ealing College of Art. Freddie took to Smile at once. However, in 1970, the group members decided that they have no future, so Tim moved to another group – Humpy Bong. However, Freddie at the same time leaved the band “Wreckage” and joined Brian and Roger. At this point began the legend under the name QUEEN. from Freddie Bulsara changed his name to Freddie Mercury, and the band’s name – to QUEEN. Soon the band gave its first concert in the College Kingston Polytechnic (London).
The fourth member – John Deacon – joined in February 1971, after the band changed six temporary bass guitarists.

Throughout the history of music, no other rock band has managed to capture the audience all over the world so firmly as Queen.

Starting in the early 70′s and crossing during the 80′s Freddy Mercury Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon wrote hit after hit. From their first single “Bohemian Rhapsody” to their last concert, their music reigned in radio stations from Britain to America, Europe and Australia. In 90′s, Queen redirected their efforts from touring to recording. They collect more and more fans around the world.

Unfortunately in November 24. 1991 year, suddenly and in the midst of his forces Freddie Mercury died after of complications from his illness – AIDS.

After his death the remaining members of Queen decided that “the show must go on and continue to issue compilations.

Although Freddy left, the Queen’s music can’t be forgotten.
