Freddy has a girlfriend – Mary Austin, with whom live together. Towards the middle of the decade, however, they were separated because Freddy begun a homosexual relationship. This does not impede both with Mary to remain close friends until the end of life of the singer. Freddy’s often said that Mary was his only real friend and that no one can replace it. He even called her “my wife at common law, saying that what they had with her, it was marriage. After his death, Mary gets the bulk of his property.

Freddie Mercury is not just a musician. He is an author of many of the Queen’s hits – “Killer Queen”, “Somebody to Love”, “We Are the Champions”, etc.), although he claims that barely has read the notes.
