According to Mulcahy, Queen was the first group that came to mind. On the 2nd June 1986, Queen released their 14th album – “A KIND OF MAGIC”, which was the music for “Highlanders”. After its release the album immediately won the 1st place of the UK charts and stayed in the top five for 13 weeks.

On June 7th Queen again started a tour. This time they went on a European Magical Tour. First appearance in the tour was given at the stadium in “St James Park” in Newcastle. Queen and their promoter Narvi Goldsmith decided to give all proceeds from the concert to the International Save the Children Fund .On July 11th the group gives to the British capital two concerts at the Wembley Stadium. And their second appearance was filmed for Tyne Tees television. The director was again Gavin Taylor. Broadcast shooting took place simultaneously on the “Independent Radio Network,” and Channel Four. It was for the first time in the history of England.

On the 27th July 1986 Queen made history again (that became a habit), when they were in the remarkable “Nepstadion” in Budapest (Hungary). It was the first time a rock band of this magnitude played at the stadium in a country of the Eastern bloc, and all the tickets were completely sold out long before the concert. The performance was filmed by the Hungarian film studio “MAFILM”.

In 1987, Freddie Mercury has tested for HIV and learned that he is suffering from AIDS. The press did not understand that – he denied that he has any virus, but the tabloids dig about his personality and publish more and more materials for his serious condition.
Uncertainty, modest public appearance of the singer and speculation about his health continued four years. On November 23, 1991 Freddie Mercury sent the press release, which says that he has AIDS and that it was kept in secret because of his personal privacy and for the tranquility of the relatives. “But come the time my friends and fans around the world to learn the truth. I hope everyone will support my doctors and all those who fight against this terrible disease. ”
The next day, November 24, 1991, Freddie Mercury died of bronchopneumonia at 45 years.

He even called her “my wife at common law, saying that what they had with her, it was marriage. After his death, Mary gets the bulk of his property.
One of the most lyrical songs of Queen, Love of My Life, Freddie wrote for Mary Austin.
Freddie Mercury is not just a musician. He is an author of many of the Queen’s hits – “Killer Queen”, “Somebody to Love”, “We Are the Champions”, etc.), although he claims that barely has read the notes. He is behind the the piano in most of the group’s performances. It is electrify audiences worldwide with an impossible voice, including three octaves. MTV announced it to the second highest vote of all times after that of Mariah Carey.
All who have seen him live know what show is it. It is always different on stage and he always manages to come under the skin of the audience to get to sing with him. In 1985, Queen participate in the Live Aid – one of the biggest charity concerts organized by Bob Geldof. Implementation of the group is so effective that it considers the best in the history of rock music.
Group does not stop at any geographical boundaries. Queen were the first to fill stadiums in South America. They have no problem to go behind the Iron Curtain, to sing in front of 80 000 people in Budapest.

From this uncommon, but magical union was born Barcelona, which Freddie wrote for Montserrat’s hometown and which became the theme for the Olympic Games in 1992, and the magestic drama Guide Me Home and How Can I Go On.

Although Freddy’s solo albums released only twice – Mr. Bad Guy and Barcelona, there is evidence that he had plans, and worked on the covers projects. It is likely that this is behind the origin of one of his most popular singles, his version of the classics of The Platters’ – The Great Pretender, issued by Freddie in 1987 (when it reached No.4) and then reissued in 1993.

The album ends with a poignant version of Guide Me Home in the implementation of the Swiss jazz pianist and artist of the label – Thierry Lang, Freddie’s townsman of his last home – Montreux. Special arrangement and recording of the song is personal Lang’s bow to Freddie Mercury.

Besides the single version, the album will have also double special edition, which will be paid by Animato Music / EMI. While in CD1, with few exceptions, the songs appear in their original form, the second part of this publication includes new and rare remixes. More than half the tracks are mixes from 2006.

In detection of Freddie’s own passion for new melodic adventures and his love for the club scene, his favorites songs are entrusted in the hands of some of the most recognized today remixer: Pixel82, The Glimmers, George Demure, Sunshine People, Rank 1, Star Rider , No More Brothers and The Egg.
